the other day i found myself shopping in the wet market for some dessert after dinner
i got the huge mango from taiwan @ $15 each
the grass jelly cost $5 per catty
and i dunno why i asked the lady to cut a huge block........
it was so huge that i ended up paying $17 for the grass jelly (approx. 3 catty)
after we got home and cut the grass jelly into cubes
mr. P said it's enough for serving customers in dessert restaurant
that nite, including the maids
6 adults and gabriel couldn't finish the giant bowl of grass jelly and the mango
i think next time i would just buy 1 catty of grass jelly
and a smaller mango
but like the vendor guranteed, it's sweet and juicy~
ps. a small carlton of coconut milk plus the taikoo syrup makes the dish so delicious!
